My only real security issue with Windows (after ~1 hour of customization - not default) is that I have to trust Microsoft for all security updates. With my SliTaz system, I can count on a number of eyes monitoring the code of every included component. If there is a fix available, I can package it myself using Tazwok. I don't have to sit there and pray that Microsoft turns out updates in a timely manner.<BR/><BR/>My only complaint with this post is where you say that a Windows user must "makes sure their anti-virus subscription is paid and up-to-date." The competent security measures I've mentioned in some other posts basically remove the need for an antivirus. The paranoid can use ThreatFire, which is free and scans based on behavior rather than definitions.
