Google had a glitch the other day. When folks, worldwide, used Google to do a search, the web sites that came up in the search engine results were all labelled as being harmful. It was a bogus warning.
Still, when you see a warning, you have to take it seriously. This is why I run Linux. Most of the nasty stuff out there that harms your computer is designed for Windows systems. Linux is immune to Windows viruses, spy ware, Trojans, and ad ware.
(Regardless of the operating system you use, you still need to be vigilant in staying away form harmful web sites. And you should always be careful when downloading programs, attachments, and other things, especially if you do not know the sender. Treat all these as being potentially harmful to your computer...they may contain a virus. It's a good rule of thumb and a good habit to keep. )
But believe me, when you run Linux, you IMMENSELY increase your chances of being virus free and more secure on the web.
